In Helion, a field of sunset warmth expands across the canvas, where luminosity is held in suspension. Layers of warm tone and reflective material interrupt the surface, creating subtle shifts in depth and intensity. Light appears to move through the work rather than sit upon it, echoing the changing atmosphere of dusk.
The bead and metallic applications respond to light throughout the day, casting shifting shadows and subtle surface patterns that change with the sun’s position. As the environment shifts, new constellations of reflection emerge, so the painting never appears entirely the same twice.
